Moments

for full orchestra (1995), ca. 12’

Moments is in three short "moments" with distinct characters: the first piece is slow and somber expressed mostly chords, the second piece is fast, dramatic with a ferocious energy, while the third piece is more lyrical with long dreamy drifting melodies. Moments was commissioned by Meet the Composer/Reader's Digest Fund and premiered by the Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras for their educational programs.
